Year 7 Students Explore The Norfolk Coastline
Last week, year 7 students went on a Geography field trip to Cley in Norfolk to learn more about coastal habitats, features, and process. They also went on a boat trip to Blakeney Point, with Beans Boats where they saw seal colonies in their natural environment. With perfect weather all three days and excellent behaviour students embraced learning in the outdoor environment.
During their visit, year 7 students were able to observe, record and interpret the unique habitats that are created by the physical processes which shape the coastline, and the way people try to manage these processes and habitats. Enhanced by a talk by Norfolk Wildlife Trust and the use of the amazing facilities at Cley Visitor Centre, students could see geography in action.
The fieldwork findings will be used in future lessons back in the classroom. A wonderful field trip for all involved.
