Catering

Our catering service is provided by Edwards and Blake Limited who have developed a food hall concept, serving an exciting range of food options that appeal to students and provide healthy food choices. We are currently working with Edwards and Blake Limited on a Food for Life Partnership Bronze Award, which will involve students, parents, governors and staff in making improvements to our catering service and to the food related education we provide to students.

The Canteen, serving the main school, is located in the North Block, with Key Stage 3 students eating in the Gym and Key Stage 4 students in the Main Hall. The Snack Shack is located outside between the North and East Block, for students who do not wish to eat in the dining areas, but prefer to ‘Grab and Go’. An additional Snack Shack is located in the seating area between Middle and South block. The Sixth Form Cafe is located in the South Block and is dedicated to providing food and drink for sixth formers only, with food choices differing slightly from the main school outlets. Fresh drinking water is available across the academy site.

Payment for food and drink is made via our Cashless Catering system. Students are either registered biometrically once we have written parental permission, or they are provided with a payment card. For information about biometric registration, please visit our Cashless Catering provider, Nationwide Retail System’s website. The system means that students do not need to bring cash into school on a day-to-day basis. Catering accounts can be topped up using our parental communication system, Parentmail.
