Red Nose Day Bake Sale
By 8:30am, North reception was full of cakes, biscuits and bakes from some very generous (and talented) students from throughout the school. Once the early break time bell had rung, students started flooding in to North Hall, some were even seen running (obviously with anticipation to raise some money!)
There were a few hundred cakes to sell, some of which, including a particularly chocolatey-chocolate cake, were sold out in minutes.
The Sixth Form prefects worked really hard to set the sale up and are really pleased with the eagerness of students to participate through baking and buying. We are very thankful for all of the donations students made, and the winning form (for the most cakes) will be receiving a prize! For such a great cause - Comic Relief - we have raised £604.12, that will go towards helping create ‘A just world, free from poverty’.
As year 13s, the end of our time at Wymondham high is fast approaching, it was really lovely to see the school supporting a great charity at a very uncertain time, with all the SLT on board, many teachers, as well as students coming to buy some cake!
