During our recent Ofsted inspection, the team stated that: “Behaviour in and out of lessons is good. Pupils are polite, courteous and respectful. Their enjoyment of school is demonstrated by their high levels of attendance and their punctuality to lessons.”

We are looking for someone who, as part of our inclusion team, will help us to ensure that in 3 years the behaviour of our pupils is outstanding. This will be an exciting journey. We have already made great strides and our fixed and permanent and fixed exclusion rates are very low. This role will involve working directly with children, every hour of every day. You will be expected to support our internal exclusion unit [IEU] and the inclusion team to ensure our pupils feel safe, and understand that behaving appropriately is important in helping them, and others, learn.

Attitude and confidence are as important as experience. You may be currently working with young people; you may want to apply because you want experience of working in a large secondary school in preparation for a future career. What’s important to us is your motivation to make a difference. For the right candidate we can be flexible about hours. We would actively encourage potential applicants to visit the Academy, talk to the inclusion team and gain an understanding of how we work. Prior to this, follow us on Twitter @WyHighAcademy or Facebook facebook.com/wymondhamhighacademy.

Please apply by letter of application, enclosing a current CV and an Academy application form (available on the Academy website), quoting the appropriate job reference, to Miss Sharp, Principal’s PA via [email protected] For further information or informal discussion about this post, please contact Mr S Tarr, Assistant Principal – Inclusion, at [email protected] or call reception on 01953 602078.
